Nicaragua has more than fifty volcanic structures in its territory, between active, inactive, and extinct; nineteen of them are active volcanoes. The rich volcanic soil in mountainous terrain gives the soil a new organic nature.
95% OF COFFEE FARMERS IN NICARAGUA ARE MICRO AND SMALL-SCALE
Nicaragua coffee is the principal export crop, and the primary source of exportation products worldwide, and thousands of rural communities depend on it. Around 40,000 farmers and their families depend on coffee as their main source of income. These days, a new breed of producers, largely small-scale, family-driven plans.
THE MAJOR COFFEE PRODUCTION IS PLANTED AROUND BOSAWAS
The north-central Nicaragua regions like Jinotega, Matagalpa, and New Segovia, are the regions, where coffees are planted. In north-central Nicaragua you will find The Bosawas Nature Reserve is the largest, it is one of the centerpieces of the 'Heart of the Mesoamerican Biological Corridor'.

Nicaragua has the planet´s largest coffee beans, known as Elephant Beans or Maragogype. Extraordinary class coffee, impressive size grains, called “elephant” are about 2/3 larger than traditional Arabica beans.

I am from Nicaragua. In 2015 I travelled to Panama, Northern Ireland and South Africa and I came to this conclusion: "the human need is the same everywhere, perhaps culture, language, weather are different but the behaviour, the fixed and growth mindset are the same. I found that poverty is in every country but it starts in the mind, and the only way to overcome this is through a healthy knowledge based on faith, education and good nutrition.
I came to England in the same year, working as a volunteer with different Charities, Churches, and Schools in Sussex especially in Brighton. I was involved in helping homeless people, unemployed families, and children.
In 2016 I had the idea to work in the coffee sector, selling coffee to support the Community through the Children Club and the Church in Brighton.
In 2019, I established Land of Fire Gold Grains Community Interest Company.
One of our goal is to have a hub where families can come to be supported in different aspect of their lives to improve their wellness. Just helping people in Brighton is not enough, there are amazing communities projects in others countries that we would like to support them as well. The purpose is to create a community engagement with all these projects.
